Which platforms will Diablo 4 release on?
Diablo 4 releases on June 6, 2023 on the following list of platforms [1]:
- PC/Microsoft Windows
- Microsoft Xbox One
- Microsoft Xbox Series S
- Microsoft Xbox Series X
- Sony PlayStation 4/PS4
- Sony PlayStation 5/PS5
Unavailable platforms
The official list above is highly unlikely to change leading up to release and thereafter (for expansions). There will be no native versions of Diablo 4 on:
However, this doesn't mean you won't be able to play Diablo 4 on these platforms -- just that it might require a bit more work to do so. For example, Mac users should be able to utilize MacOS's Boot Camp feature to get the game up and running.
Also, Blizzard made clear that no matter which system you play Diablo 4 on, you'll be able to play with friends regardless of what system they're on (i.e., full cross-platform support).
Will Diablo 4 be the same price on all platforms?
Yes, the three editions of the game will be the same price across each of the platforms:
- Standard Edition ($69.99)
- Deluxe Edition ($89.99)
- Ultimate Edition ($99.99)
Is Diablo 4 cross-platform?
Cross-platform
Diablo 4 will be the first Diablo game to be cross-platform, meaning that a PC/Windows player can party with PlayStation or Xbox players (or vice-versa).
Cross-progression
If a player owns Diablo 4 on multiple platforms (e.g., PC/Windows and Xbox), the player's character progression will be consistent across both devices. Note that playing the game on multiple platforms requires buying separate game copies for each platform.
Cross-generation
Players that own multiple supported generations of a console platform (e.g., PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5) can play Diablo 4 on both (and progression will be consistent). This requires only one game copy purchase for the platform cross-generation is desired on.
