Confirmed: Diablo 4 works on Steam Deck
Yes, players in both the Open Beta and End-Game Beta have had success with D4 on the Steam Deck. The game runs at a decent FPS, and controls are responsive and fairly intuitive.

A redditor named Kokushi tried the Diablo 4 Open Beta on Steam Deck (using Proton) and described the experience as "incredible:" [1]
"Yesterday after 6 hours of playing D4 I wanted to lie in bed but keep playing. Here comes the steam deck! After installing an updated version of Proton (7-24) I got it running with no issues at all on the deck. The game has full support for every feature of the steam deck, even the touch screen (who knows why you'd want to use that but you can). I played the game on lowest settings at 60 fps and had no problem. It was such a good experience I was pleasantly surprised! Where to buy the Steam Deck?
Currently, the only place to purchase the Steam Deck is on Valve's Steam Store. It's not available at popular retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. That said, accessories are available at most retailers.
