The most basic version of Diablo 4 is the Standard Edition, available for:

• PlayStation 4 and 5
• Xbox One, S, and X

Blizzard shows a red banner beside Lilith to denote the Standard Edition. The Digital Deluxe Edition is gray, and Ultimate Edition is orange.

How much does the Standard Edition cost?

Diablo 4's Standard Edition costs: $69.99 USD. It's the cheapest of the three editions:

Is there a physical box version of the Standard Edition?

Because the game is download-only, there's no physical box version.

The only Diablo 4 physical box Blizzard created is the Limited Collector's Box, which includes a handful of memorabilia pieces (but not the actual game).

What does the Standard Edition include?

Diablo 4 for Battle.net

First and foremost, the base Diablo 4 game is included. Note that players must be online and logged into Battle.net [1] to play all versions of Diablo 4. There is no offline mode.

Early access to the Open Beta (pre-order only)

Players that pre-order any version of Diablo 4, which includes the Standard Edition, will be guaranteed early access to Diablo 4's Open Beta. Blizzard states that the Open Beta will last a minimum of 2 days.

Light Bearer mount (pre-order only)

Also, those pre-ordering will receive Light Bearer, an in-game rideable mount adorned with red and black armor, called Caparison of Faith. Because Diablo 4 is strictly against pay-to-win, the mount is cosmetic-only. It's also only accessible once the player unlocks the mounts feature.

Murloc pet and Inarius Wings cosmetic (for Diablo 3)

If you own Diablo 3, you'll get an Inarius Wings wearable and Murloc pet with the purchase of any of the Diablo 4 editions.

Amalgam of Rage mount (for World of Warcraft)

The Amalgam of Rage is a character in Diablo 4's storyline (a boss's mount?). Although you can't seem to ride it in Diablo 4, you can in World of Warcraft. All editions of Diablo 4 give the mount in WoW.

Umber Winged Darkness cosmetics set (for Diablo Immortal)

Lastly, Diablo Immortal (mobile) players will receive an intimidating-looking cosmetic set called: Umber Winged Darkness.

If you buy on one platform, can you play on all platforms?

Players wanting to play the game on multiple platforms (e.g., PC and Xbox, or PlayStation and Xbox) must buy a copy of the game on each platform they want to play on. Buying on one platform doesn't grant a player access to all of them.

Cross-generation for consoles

If you have multiple generations of the same console platform (e.g., Xbox One and Xbox Series X) and wish to play Diablo 4 on them, you only need to buy the game once on that platform. Your progression will be tracked across all of them.
