Cannibal monsters in Diablo 4

Barbarians that eat flesh

According to Blizzard, the new Cannibal monster family comes from a distant line of Barbarians that were exiled for developing a taste for slain opponents' flesh [1]:

"Some legends say they're a former tribe of barbarians, banished from Arreat many years ago."

Cannibals wear Conan the Barbarian-like garb: shirtless, with a leather kilt, and horned or metal helmet. Their weapons are crude, jagged, and rusty.

Known Cannibal spawn areas

We know the Cannibals originated and are present in the Dry Steppes region, but may roam elsewhere in Sanctuary:

"The outcasts brought their endless hunger to the Dry Steppes, and from there spread to the far corners of the world to prey on lonesome caravans and unsuspecting villages."

Cannibal monster types

The Cannibal family contains four members, none of which are ranged:

  • Cannibal Bruiser

We don't know the official name for this enemy, but it's the largest of the Cannibals, and dual wields spiked clubs. Its heavy blows can momentarily stun players.
