Short demons that multiply
Demons of the Fallen monster family are perhaps the most iconic of the Diablo series, appearing in every Diablo game and often near the beginning. The Fallen Shaman is the most memorable (and frustrating?) Fallen, spawning new demons every handful of seconds if not dealt with. It and other members of the Fallen family will return for Diablo 4.
TOPKnown Fallen spawn areas
In pre-alpha material unveiled by Blizzard, Fallen demons have been seen spawning in the following regions [1]:

Fallen monster types
A handful of members of the Fallen family have been seen in Diablo 4 pre-alpha gameplay footage or screenshots:
-
Fallen (regular)
Regular Fallen demons are by far the most common and weakest of the Fallen family. They wield a variety of weapons and shields, and can be spawned by Fallen Shamans. -
Fallen Overseer
This type of Fallen is multiple times larger than a regular Fallen and deals more damage. Typically, a pack of regular Fallen demons will have one or two Fallen Overseers supervising the grunts. -
Fallen Lunatic
These Fallen quickly approach you and, once in close proximity, will detonate the bursting bubble on their back to inflict large damage. -
Fallen Shaman
The Fallen Shaman stands at a distance, casting fireballs at the player and routinely spawning new (regular) Fallen. -
Idol of the Imp
Although its use isn't known yet, this idol likely provides Fallen monsters a boost to their base stats while still standing.
