Region lock in Diablo 4

Official: Diablo 4 is regionless

During a December 2022 press blitz, Blizzard confirmed that Diablo 4 is regionless [1]. This means that regardless of which country you reside in, you'll be able to play with anyone in the world:

"The game is regionless, meaning that if you're in Europe, you can play with people in North America, no problem. You don't have to change servers or characters."

How does regionless interact with cross-platform?

The fact that Diablo 4 is regionless bolsters the effect of cross-platform play, which allows players on different platforms (e.g., PC, PlayStation, and Xbox) to play with each other. For example, someone in Japan using a PC could party with a German player playing the game on PlayStation 5. Breaking down these geographic and hardware barriers will create a larger Diablo community than ever.
