Attack Speed in Diablo 4 is measured in attacks per second. Weapons range from 0.9 attacks per second to 1.2 attacks per second:

One-Handed vs. Two-Handed Weapons
Similar to past Diablo games, in Diablo 4, Two-Handed Weapons are slower, but more powerful [1]. The opposite is true for One-Handed Weapons: faster, but less damage.

Attack Speed affixes
Items in Diablo 4 can roll with affixes that increase a player's equipped Weapons' Attack Speeds:
- +x% Attack Speed
- +x% [Skill] Attack Speed
- +x% [Power] Attack Speed
- +x% [Minion] Attack Speed
- +x Attack Speed while Fortified
- +x% Attack Speed for x Seconds after Dodging an Attack
- +x% Weapon Speed
